Synopsis
Stake follows the reunion of Trevor and Vanessa, best friends from high school, ten years after Vanessa ran away to the big city and left Trevor in their small home town.
Now, Vanessa's boring job as a CSIS Surveillant gives her an excuse to drop back into Trevor's life and shake it up, in the hopes that she can make up for what she did to him in high school, but Trevor has other ideas for what their reunion means and instead, makes Vanessa take a look at how her own life has turned out.
Flashbacks of their younger, more carefree days with Alex's girlfriend, Sarah, pepper their encounter and we see that friendship is more complicated than anything else life throws at us.

Synopsis
The Inherent Traits of Connor James is a dark dramedy that follows Lea and Court Matheson, a happily-married lesbian couple, and their three-year-old son as they return to Lea’s hometown to attend the funeral of her best friend from high school. The deceased, Connor James, also happens to be Lea’s sperm donor and when his family discovers that the Matheson's little boy is biologically related to them, they decide they’ll go to any lengths to keep him in their lives. Themes of love, loss and family are explored in this short film version of a feature by the same name.
